The Queen of the Prairies trophy is awarded to the fastest solo female with the lowest cumulative time over three predetermined flat sections. This year’s prize went to RAAM legend Seana Hogan.
Hogan has long been known for her ability to push a big chain-ring (sometimes up to a 57-tooth!) to astonishing speeds across the flats, and this year was no different. For most of the time stations in Kansas she posted average speeds that were among the fastest men. And in Pratt, Kansas she had the 3rd fastest solo average—only male racers Ralph Diseviscourt and Robert Ferris were faster than 57-year-old Hogan.
